Lest We Forget

About the Documentary

Lest We Forget is a documentary film about the deadly virus of anti-Semitism – hatred of the Jewish people and hatred of the Jewish state.

This film was produced and presented by the late Johannes Facius, co-produced by Professor Christopher McDermott, and was written, directed and edited by filmmaker Hugh Kitson.

Lest We Forget was made at the height of the Second Palestinian Intifada two decades ago.  Between 2000 and 2005 Palestinian terrorists murdered more than one thousand Israeli civilians – men women and children.

In recent times a number of Muslim majority nations have had the courage to make peace with Israel through the Abraham Accords, including the United Arab Emirates, Bahrain and Morocco.

Lest We Forget was re-released by Title Deed Media during the Covid-19 pandemic which resulted in a rise of anti-Semitism across the Western world.

Following the massacre of 1,200 Jews in southern Israel by Hamas terrorists on 7th October 2023, there has been an explosion of Jew-hatred not seen since the Nazi era in the 1930s and 40s. In particular this hatred seeks to eradicate the world’s only Jewish State – Israel.

Many of the participants in this film – especially those who survived the Shoah – are no longer with us.

Lest We Forget carries their testimony, which must live on in the face of the flood of Jew hatred we are witnessing. As George Santayana once said: “The one who does not remember history is bound to live through it again.”

This doesn’t just apply to the Jewish people, but to the whole of civilisation.

What Our Viewers Are Saying

This powerful film shows the continuity of Jew hate in modern times from Auschwitz to the present day. Hitler’s doctrine of extermination of the Jewish people remains at the forefront of thinking and action among Palestinian Arab leadership whose hatred is horrifically manifested today in stabbing, ramming, bomb and rocket attacks to kill Jews.

Everybody who wants to understand the truth of this long-running cancer in our midst should watch this film.

Colonel Richard Kemp

“Lest We Forget” documents the Nazi propaganda of the 1930s, and presents the evidence of a comparable incitement to hatred in the Muslim world in the 21st century that led to the murder of more than a thousand Israeli men, women and children by Palestinian terrorists in the intifada.

What strikes me is the silence. The silence from leaders – from the United Nations and the media in particular – is seriously shocking. We all know that ‘evil flourishes when good men do nothing.’

This haunting documentary has it all. I strongly endorse “Lest We Forget” and it should be distributed very widely indeed.

Simon Rufus Isaacs, 4th Marquess of Reading

If the major lesson of the Holocaust is ‘Never Again’ then “Lest We Forget” makes a significant contribution.

Western governments, in particular the European Union, are financing the Palestinian Authority – a regime today which uses Nazi style propaganda with similar objectives – is exposed. The film is an important educational tool to help teach the lessons of the Holocaust and application to the Middle East today.
